Much loved and always remembered

Sadly, Bob passed away on Thursday 15th April at The Lodge Care Home after a long and hard battle with COPD. Despite his deterioration, he never failed to show strength, never complained, was brave, always put a smile on other people's faces and lit up any room with his humour. No matter how many times he was knocked down he always got back up and continued where he left off, being cheeky.

Bob had a heart of gold and made friends wherever he went, even strangers walking by. He was very social and enjoyed a pint on a Saturday night for many years at either The British Legion, The Leigh Park Working Man's Club, Havant and Waterlooville Football Club and the pubs in Havant, namely the Six Bells and The Perseverance. He loved a party and will be remembered for joining in with the Cha-Cha Slide on many occasion.

He loved his food (grub), he made everyone jars of mean pickled onions at Christmas, gardening (winning competitions for Best Balcony, Best Hanging Baskets and Best Garden in Havant), the countryside, British wildlife and being on the road (always offering directions to ANY destination).

Bob has left many lasting happy memories with his family, carers and friends and will always hold a special place in their hearts. He was one in a million and will forever be a special Dad, Grampher, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.
